Tash's resume nearly qualifies her for Pet CEO: housebroken, good with dogs, happy spirit, low shedder, big puppy eyes, beautiful fur coat, good in the car, loves to be brushed, disinterested in chewing, and general sweetness.
It's a nice feeling to be able to leave the house and not think "Will she pee? Is the going to chew my shoes? Is she going to bark and annoy the neighbors?" No. She's going to look out the window, snooze, and play with that weird purple toy with fur and rope that she loves, then squeal with delight when I come back. Nice routine.
What is Tash bad at? She would not make a great guard dog, honestly. She's not super treat-motivated besides hot dogs - so if you dream of her being America's trick dog you will need a pocketful of hot dogs. She's a follower too, always wants to know what you're up to (I like that actually). She's also terrible at card games.
Health: T's health report is shaky now, but she's heading to a thumbs up. Like many of the dogs that are rescued from Alabama, she tested heartworm + and had to get treatment (injections) here in WI. She has about 10 days left of her recovery period and has been a sweetie and a champ through it all. Not a single growl or nip even when she's been uncomfortable. Also, one of her eyes sometimes looks cloudy depending on the light. It could be just a natural cause of aging, or maybe the start of a cataract, but she doesn't seem to notice it at all.
You can read what PetMD says about it here.
Tash had a few interested applicants, but they fell through, which means you can still
Update: as of this morning, T is pending adoption!
